Fotomio was created by J Moses Ceaser. He has been setting up photo booths for more than 15 years and in 2005, decided to give a name to the business. Prior to Fotomio, Moses ran a small Oakland-based nonprofit called DiversityWorks, dedicated to community-building and anti-oppression activism. He is also a documentary photographer whose work through Enlight Storyworks is focused on social justice storytelling and exposing the extraordinary within the ordinary. Lastly, Moses hosts a quirky weekly vegetarian cooking group called Frugal Foodies and plays lots of soccer with a team called Botswana Meat Commission.
